2048 is a simple and enjoyable logic puzzler. There's no need to love numbers to enjoy this game. The arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys alternately are used to move around the 4x4 grid. While pressing a key, all tiles move. A merge is performed when two or more identically-valued tiles fall on top of one other. There is always some element of luck involved, even when using the best approach. If you've beaten the game and want to get better at it, aim for a lower score after you're done. There could be fewer moves required if this is the case.
