As you would like it to be it's as grindy. I have been playing OSRS since launch and I still don't possess a single 99 ability because it's simply not essential to enjoy- or be good at the game. This isn't like RuneScape gold, where your route is streamlined and everybody has almost the same goals. The combat system might be simple first glance but notably in PvP and endgame PvM, it may have a lot of depth and it has a"skill ceiling". OSRS battle requires fast and precise clicking, which requires a ton more ability than tab targetting and spamming keyboard buttons for rotations such as in WoW. I've not ever heard of this"bug" you are talking about. There's no level climbing in PvP because it's not necessary.

You can only attack players based on their battle level and your own. Low levels fight elevated levels and low levels and levels fight. Yes, you are required to get supplies like food, potions and arrows in order to pvp, what is so bad about this? There is build variant in PvP. You do sound unbiased enough to give a reasonable evaluation of OSRS and knowledgable. You seem like a sour WoW fanboy that missed out on Runescape since it had"shit graphics" and is now badmouthing the game in an attempt to justify his poor decision and feel much better about himself.

I think this comment is written by someone reminiscent of the time'wasted' about the match. I have seen people who loved the game say similar things, but the majority of what you have said paints as equally ignorant and stupid because very frankly your primary beef with the game is actually just a personal taste of game play. You can't call my observation that the game is simply grinding an opinion. It is objectivly accurate, rather than in a way that is good. That is true in the sense thatyes, I could grind in the game. Or walk off and I could CHOOSE to turn the game off. What a decision? Personal preference may be a qualatative element in my view; but there's one quantitative factor that can be used to quantify a game's values, irrespective of preferance.

That measure is articles / time, or alternativly: content / cost. A"match" like runescape has hardly any material, and a huge price. Therefore it's poor, objectivly. You might be playing something. You might be brainwashed enough to say:"No! There's HUNDREDS of hours of articles in the game" Or enough of a sociopath to think:"Another players ARE the content!" However, you'd be objectivly wrong that your oponion basically does not have any value. The game has very little content for the number of hours of grinding you need to do to reach it. That's not content, that is a slog on rsgoldfast. If you play a private OSRS server that gets the grining switched to a good level, you'll quickly realize that the game only has approximately 40 hours of articles in it complete (Plus minigames, but those are by definition different games).
