We love all weddings… we do. But, to tell the truth, it’s this magical Mississippi affair that has got us excited!

HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

Jared and I have always known of one another from residing in the same town. It wasn’t until our mutual friend’s 20th birthday that we started chilling out. I lived in Starkville, MS, and visited MS State; he lived in Oxford, MS, and visited Ole Miss. We saw one another here there, but he inquired about our first date that next summer. We were inseparable next.

THE PROPOSAL:

We have been together 6 years by this time. It was Christmas time, and that he was about to graduate together with his second degree so I was built with a feeling it had been coming. We continued a trip to Memphis together with his parents for any Trace Adkins concert. I was sure he would propose then. We were awaiting the show to begin at the Orpheum, and that he could tell that I was upset it hadn’t happened yet. He leaned over and explained that he'd bought the ring; he couldn’t ensure that it stays a secret from me. His only request was that I wait for long because my mom didn’t want the proposal to become during Christmas.

DECEMBER 27TH, 2014:

I was working on that day. I am an RN so I usually am nasty and super tired when I get off. I called Jared to determine what we were doing that night. He said that his parents were cooking my favorite meal and wanted me in the future. He also inquired about what wine I desired to drink. I told him I had to operate the next day and didn’t wish to drink. He insisted that I only have a glass. I knew instantly that which was happening. I get to his parent's house, with no one is there except him. He said his parents decided to go to eat instead. He led me upstairs towards the guest bedroom where my complete wardrobe, my hair products, constitute, and jewelry was awaiting me. He explained to get dressed and meet him downstairs. When I was ready, I walked downstairs where he had prepared my favorite dinner: Tuna, green beans, and eggplant. When we finished, he led me outside his parent's boat dock. There were twinkling bistro lights everywhere. He then got recorded on one knee and requested me forever. Of course, I said yes! We then went inside where our families and my two longest friends were awaiting us.

THE VENUE:

Providence Hill Farm is a local Hunter and Equestrian facility. My best friend got married here a few years ago on the pier through the lake, and I immediately fell deeply in love with the stables that is where we've got dressed for her wedding. We wanted to obtain married inside a church, but many of our local churches either had an excessive amount of a contemporary look (just like a movie theater), or else you had to become a member of the church to make use of the sanctuary. Providence Hill has situated a good distance from town so it had been just logical to complete both ceremony and reception in this beautiful location that I could mold into my wedding.

THE DRESS:

I wore a wedding gown that I purchased from the bridal store online known as the feel times. I wore an embellished short sleeve jacket within the sweetheart neckline. I also wore a cathedral-length veil that both my sisters wore within their weddings plus a party belt that certain sisters wore within their wedding.

THE WEDDING:

I began wanting just gold and ivory everything. That quickly converted into ivory and metallics. I wanted mercury glass, gold candelabras, sequin table cloths, and crystal chandeliers. The ceremony and reception both happened in the stables, and I was adamant that I didn’t want this to become a rustic wedding. I wanted elegance, glamour, and classic however with a twist of recent age style.

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES:

Being that Jared and I were together 6 years just before this wedding, I have were built for a long time to dream of what this very day would be for all of us. If you ask Katy Barham, she’ll let you know I have had these bridesmaid gowns picked out for a long time. We originally hadn't planned to place the slate dress within the mix; I just wasn’t sure about this. I am so glad we added it, but the pink bridesmaid dresses were the favorite of all the bridesmaids. They all desired to wear it.

MUST-HAVES, MUST DOS:

When we started dating, he'd never dance when we visited date parties. It wasn’t until about 2 yrs into the relationship that people went to marriage down in Seaside, Fl that people had our first dance. The band at the wedding would be a Motown band known as the Compozitionz. Jared had me twirling through the night in the party area. Small World: Jared began speaking with one of their singers, plus they happened to become from our hometown. Jared said then there that they HAD to become our band when we've got married. Not even fourteen days after the proposal we booked them. They had us dancing and singing through the night. They even have choreography to choose their songs, also it has got the crowd in it!

First Look: the very first look before the ceremony just gave us time for you to soak in that which was happening and merely have a moment between us before everything started. I am frazzled the entire day with emotions and taking that time to become alone together helped calm me down.

Wedding Stylist: This is where I got really lucky because my wedding stylist also happens to become one of my close friends. This wedding continues to be a many a time topic recently night wine conversations. I possess a hard time projecting my style into real-time. She knew my preferences and solved the problem out on the way to make sure everything was just how I wanted it to appear.

Sparklers: I mean they're so fun looking amazing within the getaway pictures!

Anything I would do differently: Honestly, I am so so lucky that nothing went wrong on my small wedding day. It was perfect and I wouldn’t do anything whatsoever differently. My advice to the bride would be to just remember to relax, relax, and soak my way through while it is happening. It just passes so fast. I started crying at the end of the night because I did not would like it to end so quickly!

FAVORITE MEMORY:

The whole day was my favorite memory. I cannot select one single moment which was better than another. We were surrounded by this family and friends, and it had been literally that best day ever!
