Pull them off and these plastic lenses are very fragile of aluminum christmas. So if  we yank them off  we tend to break the edge here and then it's no longer usable. What we recommend is that. If  we can put the color lens away like this and not remove the brackets from season to season that would be ideal but if  we have to or  we find  ourselves that  we must have it we are taken apart then. We need to find brackets that are easy to remove that'll come right off and we are having a hard time showing that with our left hand since we are right-handed to see if we can do it well. We don't want to take a chance because usually,  we put one hand down here and then.  We slowly take the clip off and we don't want to break this because these are very hard to find so that is one of the key things with the color lenses we have. They are extremely fragile so  we need to be very careful when removing the clips now.

Let's move on to the lamp our lamps do come with a light bulb these light bulbs rethink they're much better than the penetrate the original bowl rotating color wheel , because they're warm, and we are in it with the penetrate bulbs they tend to we melt the lens because they get super hot and these stay pretty warm, and because they're made of like a very hard plastic they don't shatter whereas the penetrate. The incandescent bulb is made of glass, the other thing that our husband noticed about the way these color wheels were made back in the 60s. The shaft that  we see here was made shorter and therefore the lens was closer to the bulb, and we'll see that we even have a few one or two that we might be selling where the lens has melted because it has come in contact with the heat of the bulb.

So when we modified this in his machine shop, what we did was lengthen the shaft. So that it's further away from the bulb, and  we have a lesser chance of having that lens meltdown

vintage spartus. So again as we mentioned he does this in his machine shop the bulb. The motor is replaced and bolted down and this is what it looks like and there's our little label with our email address we'll get upfront. So we can see Santa's repair shop and we are rewired sometimes it's rewired and it will last as we said before it would all last. We but if  we have one or  we purchase one with a motor that's 50 or 60 years old chances are that that's probably going to or is reaching the end.
