As autumn brings forth chilly mornings and wet evenings, the Air Jordan 1 has emerged in a protective variant dubbed the Element GORE-TEX.Once again, the latest execution of the classic reimagines the shoe’s build with a streamlined build and material swaps implemented to combat the cold.Jordan Brand has added some waterproof GORE-TEX technology to its Air Jordan 1 to create the Air Jordan 1 Element. Following a look at the model’s black colorway, we now have a look at a second colorway dressed in Sail/Light Bone.
This Air Jordan 1 Element Gore-Tex Light Bone comes dressed in monochrome tones. The upper of the shoe features a “Sail” GORE-TEX base contrasted by nubuck “College Grey” overlays, 3M reflective black Swooshes. Additional branding comes in the form of “GORE-TEX” markings at the heels, “NIKE AIR” tongue tags, Wings motifs at the collar and printed insoles. The outsole features an interesting part solid black rubber, part translucent touch that gives it an even more distinctive look.
The Nike KD 11 White Metallic Gold is created by returning designer Ross Klein, features a Swoosh on the collar and midfoot strap for a locked-in fit. While we’ve seen several colorways already, it looks like there’s another on the horizon.Either way, this shoe is guaranteed to help you release your inner Freak. A durable and breathable fabric keeps you cool and ready to go in high-pressure situations, while the rubber outsole provides traction for pivoting around your opponent — much like the Greek Freak does. The traction pattern for this shoe was designed using pressure-mapping from Giannis’ feet, meaning you’ll be able to attempt his same moves.
